Provider and scope
Ayorumi Reader (“the App”) is provided by CacheFrog Kamil Zaborowski, NIP 6783199310, REGON 522699964 (“CacheFrog”, “we”, “us”). This policy applies only to data handled through the App. The separate website privacy notice applies when you visit cachefrog.com or email us.
What the App handles
The App handles the books you choose to import, their files, titles, authors, cover images, import dates, reading progress and related library records. It also stores reader and library preferences such as typography, colors, layout and sorting. Those preferences stay on the device.
The App needs this information to provide the library, reading, customization and optional synchronization features you request. CacheFrog does not receive it and cannot use it for analytics, advertising or profiling.
On your device
Book files, metadata, covers and reading progress are stored in the App’s private storage on your device. Reader, appearance and library preferences are also stored locally. The App accesses only book files you deliberately select through Apple’s document picker; it does not scan other files on your device.
iCloud sync
Sync is on by default. When it is enabled, Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services synchronize book files, metadata, cover images and reading progress between devices signed in to your Apple Account. The records are stored in your private CloudKit database, count against your iCloud storage and are accessible only through your Apple Account. They are not visible to CacheFrog in Apple’s developer portal.
Apple processes this data to provide iCloud under its own terms and privacy information. You can turn sync off in the App under Settings → Sync or disable iCloud access for the App in iOS. Turning sync off stops new transfers but does not delete data already in iCloud.
Remote cover images
Covers are normally read from imported book files. If an imported book points to a cover hosted on the internet, the App may request that image from the named host. That host necessarily receives your IP address and ordinary request information and handles it under its own privacy terms. The App does not add a CacheFrog account identifier, tracking parameter or advertising identifier to the request. Other remote content embedded in an EPUB is blocked from loading.
What CacheFrog receives
The App sends no library or usage data to CacheFrog. It contains no CacheFrog-operated servers, accounts, analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, advertising SDKs or tracking technologies. CacheFrog does not sell or use your App data for marketing.
Apple and the App Store
Apple may process App Store, device, diagnostic and purchase information when you download or use the App. Apple may provide CacheFrog with aggregated App Store statistics or diagnostics according to your Apple privacy choices. This processing is performed through Apple’s services, not by analytics code in the App, and is governed by Apple’s privacy information.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit book details and delete individual books in the App. Deleting a book removes its local data and asks iCloud to delete the corresponding synchronized data.
Uninstalling the App removes its local container from that device, subject to Apple’s device backup behavior, but does not delete data already stored in iCloud. You can delete all of the App’s iCloud data through Apple’s iCloud storage controls. Because CacheFrog cannot access data stored on your device or in your private iCloud database, we cannot retrieve, correct, export or delete it on your behalf.
Open-source software
The App includes open-source libraries listed under Settings → Legal → Acknowledgements. They run as part of the App and do not send personal information to their authors on CacheFrog’s behalf.
Changes
We may update this policy when the App or the law changes. We will change the date above and publish the revised policy here and inside the App. If a change requires a choice from you, the App will present that choice before the relevant processing begins.
