This notice applies to cachefrog.com and messages sent to our published email addresses. The separate Ayorumi Reader privacy policy explains how the App handles books and reading data.
Website requests
When you request a page, the hosting systems necessarily process your IP address, request date and time, requested URL, response status, browser or user-agent information, referrer when supplied, and connection-security information. We use this data only to deliver the site, keep it reliable, diagnose faults and defend it against abuse.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical logs, where enabled, are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer reasonably needed for operations and security. Relevant entries may be kept longer when necessary to investigate an incident, establish or defend legal claims, or comply with law.
If you email us, we process your email address, name if provided, message, attachments and ordinary message metadata. We use them to answer you, provide support, take steps you request before a contract, perform a contract, keep necessary business records, and establish or defend claims.
Depending on the message, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (requested pre-contract steps or a contract), Article 6(1)(c) (a legal record-keeping duty), or our legitimate interests in corresponding, supporting our software and protecting claims under Article 6(1)(f). You do not have to email us, but without the information needed to understand and answer a request we may be unable to respond.
We keep correspondence while the matter and reasonable follow-up remain open. We then delete it unless it is still needed for an ongoing customer relationship, a statutory accounting or record-keeping period, or until the limitation period for related claims has expired.
Recipients
Website request data is processed on infrastructure supplied by OVHcloud. Email is processed through Apple’s iCloud Mail service. Their personnel and our technical service providers receive data only where needed to provide, secure or maintain those services and are subject to contractual or legal confidentiality duties. We may also disclose data to professional advisers, courts or public authorities where necessary or legally required.
A provider may process data outside the European Economic Area only where GDPR Chapter V permits it, for example under an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for information about the safeguard relevant to your data.
No cookies or profiling
The site does not set cookies or use browser storage, analytics pixels, advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling or automated decision-making. It therefore does not display a cookie consent banner.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where a legal duty or overriding legitimate grounds require continued processing, a request may be limited; we will explain why.
Send a request to hello@cachefrog.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych). Complaints may be sent to the Personal Data Protection Office at ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warsaw, Poland. You may instead complain to the supervisory authority in the EEA country of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.
Changes
We will update this notice when the website, our providers or the law changes. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes apply from the stated update date and will not be used to legitimize earlier incompatible processing.
